Do you care enough...

Something I've come to realize in business, but also going through everyday life, is the level at which you succeed is in direct correlation with how much you care.

Hey, It's Daniel. Something I've come to realize in business, but also going through everyday life, is that your success is in direct correlation with how much you care. And once you truly begin to care. You realize how little so many human beings don't. Making a vast majority of people wildly incompetent. Back in my early 20's, I was in the Army. Something I began to notice is there were soldiers from all walks of life. And there were a lot of good men and women I served with. As well as some who, for whatever reason, just did the absolute minimum. Yet there were only a few who would succeed at everything the Army threw at them. From passing the PT tests at the highest level their bodies could manage, their dress uniforms being perfect on every inch, to them having the deepest understanding of their job. And If I'm being honest, I didn't fully understand why some would be the absolute best, and some would do as little as they could get away with. I thought that it solely was because they were just smarter, had better resources, etc. And while all of these do help. Talent and luck will never overcome true, genuine care and hard work alone. And most people either rely solely on the former, or assume they don't have it so they stop caring. I'm happy (and proud) to say that this doesn't happen when my team and I work with clients. Not because I'm an incredible people manager or once-in-a-lifetime trainer. It's because of 2 reasons: 1. I have a great team with ambitious people. 2. We have standards and care enough to call each other out when we don't meet them. So if you start running into this sort of stuff, it pays to direct their attention to the standards you put on yourself, your work, and the organization as a whole. Instill pride.
